A recent poll by interviewgold.com found that more than half of candidates would tell lies on their CV or in an interview in order to land a job offer. This just shows how tough the job market really is when jobseekers would even consider resorting to such desparate measures.
Joe McDermott, CEO of interviewgold.com, commented that these figures have risen over the last few years and illustrate just how much pressure applicants feel in the job market. “They are setting themselves up for problems in the future; if they are found out they could face serious consequences.”
